Trump Hates Democratic Standards, That’s Dangerous for the Entire World, Foreign Policy Expert Says

After the end of World War II, the international community started spreading democratic standards across the planet. The USA seems to have been the leader in spreading democracy around the world, at least until recently. Now many experts are concerned that the situation may change because of the fact that Donald Trump is about to become President of the United States.

In his speeches, President-Elect Trump questioned the democratic world a number of times. They are afraid that if he makes the USA stop fighting for justice, mutual respect, and peace in the entire world, many of those dictators in various parts of the world may get greater freedom and power, and may start threatening weaker nations.

James Troub, who is a contributing editor at Foreign Policy, thinks that Vladimir Putin is one of those guys threatening the world. He is the one starting new armed conflicts and occupying foreign territories. Apparently, this is all about Ukraine.

As for President-Elect Trump, James Troub underlines that instead of making his first steps as a newly-elected president of a superpower, Mr. Trump keeps on fighting his critics, including journalists, minorities and other social groups. James Troub believes that by acting this way, Donald Trump doesn’t care about democracy in the USA, not to mention international democratic principles. To prove his standpoint, James Troub suggests paying attention to the list of political leaders Mr. Trump has been praising. The list includes the leaders of Turkey, Egypt, and Russia. To James Troub’s standpoint, all of them are aggressive dictators.

Market Leader reminds you that the USA has been spreading democracy around the globe for at least the last 70 years. Today, chances are, Donald Tramp may change the way things are and focus on domestic problems the way he promised instead of supervising the entire world. Now is the time to think about what is likely happen if that’s really the case.

One thing is sure, if the USA quits the post of an international supervisor, no other country dares become the USA’s successor. However, the vacuum created by such a move is definitely going to be filled with something. As for Mr. Trump’s promise to make America great again, this is going to be hard to fulfil, to James Troub’s mind.
